We are not new to the building process and, therefore, prefer to be hands-on customers. We know what we like. From the first time we met with George Fowler to begin to plan our retirement home, we appreciated George’s knowledge, experience and amiable manner. This acquaintance made us feel we wanted to pursue Hamsher Homes further.
We subsequently met with Don Hamsher and George and contracted to have you build for us. Don assured us that Hamsher Homes would “go above and beyond our expectations” and that “an open line of communication is encouraged at all times”, and he was right. We soon, thereafter, received a note from Mark, letting us know that you “will deliver the best possible Iris you can” and that you “will not let us down” and you, too, were right!
Frequent and open communication via email, phone and mail kept us informed and comfortable during the entire process from the clearing of our lot to our final walk-through the day you gave us the keys to our beautiful new home.
We knew, without any doubt, that you were merely a call or email away at all times. You were consistently prompt to respond to any and all our inquires with detail, patience and professionalism. We received frequent digital photos of the building process from multiple angles of every facet of the construction from you. We were able to create a wonderful album of those photos that we will cherish for years to come.
While personally visiting vendors with whom Hamsher Homes works to make selections for our home, it was especially reassuring to consistently hear about what an honest, trustworthy and reliable builder Hamsher Homes is. Even our new neighbors told us that they were impressed with the professionalism of all your subcontractors during construction.

Patricia GWorking with all of you was a joy from start to finish. You helped me take a house that was about 3/4 finished and make it into a home. Not only did you finish the building, but you helped me move in and place the furniture. What a joy! Also, because the other builder screwed up the wiring, you went around and labeled all the switches for me. We still needed to use them because the first builders had done such a poor job on all the electrical work.
Considering also that all the details of the finishing work were worked out over the phone because I was in North Carolina, Hamsher Homes was a complete joy to work with. Many, many thanks to all of you.

Bill KThe process of building a new house can be a daunting one, especially since I lived up north while my house was being built. Hank and the rest of the folks at Hamsher Homes made the process easier than I would have thought. They worked around my schedule to get questions answered like colors of tile, walls and so on. And when I had questions about the process, they were always willing to spend time with me to get them answered. Even after the house was built, they were there to answer questions and, in a very small number of cases, correct parts of the house like the door locks. The whole process was a good one for me, and I would not hesitate to recommend Hamsher Homes to any new buyers. A satisfied customer!
